Carrollton Bashers defeated the defending champions, Fort Worth Cowboys, to lift the 3rd Annual Cricket Tournamet Trophy at Islamic Center of Irving. After winning the toss, Bashers elected to field first. Opening bowlers Bilal and Faraz restricted Cowboys to 28 runs for 6 wickets in their first 6 overs but Cowboys came back strongly to set a target of 107 runs, thanks to Moazzam and Sajid for their quick runs in last 4 overs. Bashers started the chase in an explosive style and posted 51 runs on scoreboard in first 3 runs. Faraz was the main contributor from Bashers with his 50+ runs in addition to his good spell of bowling. At the end Bashers chased the targte with 2 overs to spare and 7 wickets in hand. In the second semi final, Cowboys were well on their path to victory when rain stopped the game yesterday night. After winning the toss, Cowboys elected to field first and bowled the Batters out for only 65 runs. Nomi was pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, all of them taken in one over. Cowboys were in a very strong position with 27 for 0 in 3 overs when rain stopped the paly. Batters have confirmed their defeat against Cowboys today afternoon, thus making the Cowboys second finalists of the 3rd DFW Cricket tournament. Scorecard for both semi finals will be posted soon.

Carrolton Bashers defeated Irving Elites by 4 wickets in the first semi final. After winning the toss, Bashers chose o bowl first and restricted Elites to 95 runs. Elites were in a strong position at one time with 77 runs in 6.2 overs without any loss. Faraz triggered the collapse when he took two wickets in the 7th over of Elites innings. Bashers chased the target with more than 3 overs to spare though they did lose 5 wickets. But at the end it was well deserved victory.

Cowboys defeated TC 11 by 6 wickets to qualify for semi finals for second time. After winning the toss, Cowboys put TC 11 into bat and restricted them 100 runs. Nomi was pick of the bowlers with 4/36 in his 3 overs. Cowboys chased the target with 9 balls to spare and 6 wickets in hand. Scorecard

In the last quarter final, Batters easily won their match against MidCity 11 by 6 wickets. After winning the toss, Batters elected to field first and allowed MidCIty 11 to score only 98 runs. Kamran remained the only contributor from MidCity 11 with his 50 runs. Zeeshan took 3 wickets for only 10 runs in his 2 overs. Carrolton Bashers won the close contest against Euless Stallions by 4 runs. After batting first, Bashers set a competitive target of 109 runs. A poor display in outfield by Bashers enabled Stallions to get very close to the target. With 7 required off last 3 balls Stallions could only manage to score 2 more runs against some impressive bowling by Imran. Scorecard

Irving Elites qualified for semi final of 3rd DFW Cricket Tournament with an emphatic 52 run victory over EPIC in their quarter final match. After winning the toss, Irving Elites chose to bat first and imposed total of 153 for 5 wickets. Noman, Asif and Farrukh scored quick 32, 31 and 23 runs respectively. EPIC lost two quick wickets to Asif when they started their chase but quickly recovered from this early jolt when Zaheer smashed 4 sixes of bowling of Saqib. After the break, EPIC collapsed when both Salman and Zaheer were bowled out by Asif (3/25) and Farrukh (1/21) respectively. At the end both Tariq (3/20)and Fuzail (2/9) did not take too long to wrap things up and bowled out EPIC for 101. Scorecard

MidyCity 11 won their last match against Cruisers by 82 runs. Batting first, MidyCity 11 scored 126 runs for 3 wickets and bowled Cruisers out for only 44 runs.

Outrageous failed to show up in their last match against Al Abrar after their disappointing performance in 3rd DFW tournament. After their poor performance against EPIC they failed to motivate all palyers to play their last match. Al Abrar will earn 2 points after this walk over by Outrageous.

In a one sided match, Batters thrashed Half Stumps by 67 runs. While Batting first, Batters made 144, thanks to Amir and Najmi who established 50+ opening partnership. Half Stumps only managed 77 runs in their 8 overs.
